Teaching Jobs near Beijing, China

Teaching jobs are available south of Beijing in the city of Dongying.  Dongying is a new city, built in 1983 near the rugged and historic Shandong coast (see above).  It’s now home to 2 million people.

The school is located in Donying’s very modern city centre and has 10 foreign teachers.  As this is a small school, the atmosphere is vey friendly and collaborative.

This position can run for as little as three months and as long as a year, and affords you the opportunity to travel the coast, see Beijing, the Great Wall – all from the safety and security of Dongying.

Classes are to groups of adults, some may be at the school, others may be at nearby factories.  Accommodation is included and pay is approximately $1,000 US per month.

The basic requirements for this job are:

• Native speaker (or have a native level of fluency)
• Aged 21 – 30 (for European countries – this is a visa requirement)
• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
• TESL / TEFL/CELTA certificate*
• Canadian, American, Australian, NZ, UK citizenship (visa requirement)

This job pays 2 – 2.4 million Korean Won per month (about $2,000 Canadian dollars).
